I just wanted to say Hello to everyone here. I just found your site thru a article I read in Popular Hotrodding. Thanks to Jason Herrera!

I have been building Pro-Touring style cars long before they became well known. Even when I lived inthe Detroit area and the Prostreeters were in full swing. I tend to lean twards cars that are a bit out in left field. I have turned cars like Chevettes,Monzas,Mini Trucks,Suburbans and a few others into cars that were just at home on the track as they were on the street doing everyday chores.

My latest is an early Pinto. Now that I live in California I am being spoiled with clean bodied cheap cars. I have a limited budget that I can spend on cars so I am a regular at all the local Pick a Parts. So far I have the body with a full cage, a Jag rear end and a 500ci Caddy with an auto mocked up. I went with Corvette ZO6 wheels and tires. The engine will be just a bit over stock since the car will be light. The brakes are on thier way any day and they will be 13 inchers from Wilwood in the front and vented rotors with Wilwood calipers in the rear.

I try to get as many of the parts from the scrapies but have to turn to EBAY too. Last year I lost my shop and an almost completed project to the fires in October and that was a real set back. Now I am trying to build up my tools as well as the car so it is moving along slowly.

I hope I will be a good addition to the site as I know I will be gleening info as well! I look forward to meet people with the same intrests as I have in what a car should be.

      I'll post some pics soon.

I have to be on set tomorrow but should be home in time to snap a couple on Monday.

Are there any other odd-ball cars on the list?

On set? What does that mean? In LA that is? I just don't understand....

Yeah, there's a few oddballs. Mainly a few El Camino's, but also a few others...

The Donna's? Those girls are from about 5 miles from where I live. Your job sounds cool. Where do I send my sister for her training?

Heh... She'd kill me if she saw that.... Glad she hates my hobby...

People are a real pain to train. I do much better with animals.
