      Big Fans

I doubt that this will be of much use to most, but thought I'd throw it out there for future reference.
The 2005 Silverados are now using electric fans and they look bloody huge. The two 15" fans are mounted in a fan shroud that is 34" wide. I didn't think to measure the height but I'm guessing it isn't much more than 18-20" high. It's probably too expensive to buy new, but I'm sure they will be showing up in a wreckers close to you.
The entire shroud is too big for some cars, but some of the bigger cars may be able to use it.
      Just so you know.

I'll be using a Mark VIII

That's cool to know there may be alternatives out there. I plan on using a Japanese style 50-amp fuse between the +12v junction and my 70-amp Hella relay. 8 gauge Monter Cable should provide high speed current, too. I can't even imagine needing anything bigger than this fan, though! It looks downright dangerous!! -G
