OBDII port and tuning cable information needed

If someone has a cable that plugs into the GM diagnostic port for OBDII/LS1 series ports I need a dimension. What is the maximum distance that the plug on the cable will use to slide onto the OBDII port? This would be the distance from the leading edge of the cable female housing to the bottom of the pins.

      Thanks!

The two I have on hand both measure a bit less than 1/2 inch. The Jet DST measures .470" and the Autotap measures .490".

Thanks a bunch red. How far is it from the leading edge of the cable female housing to the top of the pin? Almost 1/2" is a lot of engagement....

The pins stick up a little more than halfway from the bottom of the connector. The top of the pins are ~.230" down from the front edge. The two center pins on the wider row (I forget the pin #'s on OBDII connectors) are .050" longer than the others. This is on the Autotap connector. On the Jet connector, the pins are longer by .030-.040".

I've attached the SAE document that calls out all dimensions for you. Let me know if you need anything else.
