      What would make a Fox "Pro-Touring" ?!

I just joined the site today, because of this thread - been lurking a while, and am a Fox Body owner myself. Amidst a build currently, and considering going big wheels, new-age interior, and turbo...

Here are a couple crappy cell phone pics of mine, 90 coupe, full cage, custom everything, 427W, NOVI 2000, TKO, minitubbed 20x12 w/ 345/25/20 rear wheels on air ride. Long ways from done, but I have all winter! Now if only I can find a good and reasonably priced painter in the Midwest.

Well, it's not really "pro-touring." At least, not yet...

That's Surreyboy's car. I just posted the full size picture from his link. What a nice car! It's so clean and understated, but you can just tell that it's trouble looking for a place to happen.

Well here's mine... It's just "Tampa Stock" right now, and it's got the obligatory Fox upgrades - cage, carb, c4, 4" cowl, 15" welds, etc... But I'm thinking of doing a little something different!! Something more along the lines of Pro-Touring ::: ? :::

To answer your earlier question, Pro-touring is simply making your car go faster, turn harder, and stop better. Beyond that, it's purely up to you as it's your car. We like different. Sure, the term pro-touring is typically associated with classic cars but by no means is anyone here going to tell you your car is not welcome. It just needs to adhere somewhat at least to the "definition" of pro-touring to really be relevant to the site but to also garner any real attention. If you desire to make your car a pro-touring fox body then it's more than welcome and I'm sure many members will be glad to help anyway they can. I don't know crap about fox bodies though so I'm of no specific help, lol. Welcome to the site!

WS6 has it correct. Additionally, I think a Pro-Touring ride is (originally) supposed to be a classic. Technically. The foxes aren't too far from being that lol! What a lot of these gents are doing on this site are nothing short of full frame off resto-mods. For the foxbody crew, it would be the same as one of us building a American Iron car for the street... with a bit of bling of course!

Had to revive this thread... I deeply desire to Pro-Tour my Cobra.

Old thread I know, but I figured I would add pics of my car to an awesome thread that never got enough love. Still more to go but it's getting there.

Yeah, that car is on air (that parked height of course). Aren't alot of cars on this site on air?

      This is at ride height.
