      you should look on the NASA racing web site. They have this new series for SPEC bugs, in road racing. I know yours is going to be wild as hell but, you might like what you see.

      Thanks for the props... It should be a handful...

      I'll check out the NASA website but I'm sure my bug won't fit into any VW class... with the NASA VW series you can't change the drivetrain configuration... There is an "Unlimited" class that I may qualify for. What I am shooting for is to just have fun with "hot lapping days" like NASA's HPDE (High Performance Driving Events)... there aren't many rules with these events other than safety issues. "Spirited" fun is what I am looking for...
