If this is an auto-it's easy. Pull the cover off right where your speedo cable goes into on the side of the tranny-as you pull the unit out, you will see a plastic gear and it slides off the shaft. If you look closely, you'll see numbers like 52,61, etc.-those are the teeth count on the gear itself. If you swap to steeper gears, you want more teeth. If you go bigger in overall diameter, you want fewer teeth and vicey versa. They are color coded as to the teeth count and you should be able to goto any tranny shop that has a parts department and ask them for a few gears-they're cheap. You may need several before you get it right. -Jabin

you may have to change the drive gear thats in the trans. youll need to remove the tailhousing to do this. its not hard, ive done it few times. also TCIs website has a calculator on it. not sure if it does tires sizes though. you can go there and find out though.

Shawn, lets make this easy. Find out your tire diameter, rear gear ratio, and call up Bowtie Overdrives. They will sell you the correct gears. They are easy to change when the trans has a removable tail shaft. There's just a clip holding the drive gear on the tailshaft, and the driven gear is just pulled out when the housing is unscrewed.
