it has been done: I am considering going back and doing mine. that is the only piece on my car that has a seam. here is a 68 that has been done.

Thats a killer stance Prodigy! That is about where my car will sit as well. How high do you have that set for mockup?

I assume you are referring to ride height. The rockers and crossmember are the lowest point on the car. We actually cut the front off and raised the front frame a couple inches since this pic as it was only tacked in here. All the fuel / brake lines, etc run through the frame, also the exhaust is run through the tunnel. It is a full chassis so there is no subframe under the car, and being a perimeter frame, the floors are not raised. The car basically will have a belly pan bottom. We can go about a 5 rocker stance which is really low, and still have decent suspension travel, however it is set up to ride in the center of the suspension and have full travel at 6 1/2" ride height.
The car is on a rolling frame jig I built and is about waist high so it is at a good working height. That is an old pic, before the Florida hurricanes and commitments with my other business, so not much has happened. I will try to get some pics tomorrow, the fenders are done, as well as the roll bar. Now that Nubreeds car (the yellow 69 convertible) is off the rotisserie and painted, Prodigy can go on the rotisserie for under body welding and floors. It's ready for paint, just need about 40 hours under the car on the rotisserie.
The wheels are Jagarangs, we used them for mock up. We will be putting slightly bigger wheels / tires, 285 / 35 /18 fronts and 345 / 25 / 20s. I like a bit taller tire on 67 and 68s with the round wheel wells. I am trying to get Kris to design something new for wheels.
look for pictures tomorrow of Jagarang and Nubreed, both are coming along now that i am back in the shop.

Do you have any pics of the 345/25/20's? how tall is the sidewall?

It is nearly a 28" tire, so sidewall is nearly 4", about the same as 26" 335s on 18" rims. It takes special tubs to fit 28" tall tires on a lower car. It also requires a backhalf as a standard notch and mini tub is not enough.

Do you have any pics of the 345/25/20's? how tall is the sidewall?

26.8" High with 3.4" of sidewall according to the calcs.

Yup....Colorado Custom Lazaers. 20x12 in the back and 18x8 in the front.

I got them from Curtis at www.curtsrodandcustom.com. They had the best price at the time.

I originally was going to go with an American Racing wheel, but the widest 20 they had was a 10".
