      Fuel system questions

Instead of going with a high-dollar custom tank, how would this be for feeding an LS1?

Stock tank (with a return line added)
      99+ Corvette Fuel Filter/Pressure Regulator
MSD fuel pump #2225 (manufacturer's link)
and probably a second fuel filter before the pump just to keep any bits from the stock tank out of everything.

should work fine so long as you don't let the tank level get too low that the pick up starts to suck air.

Agreed. It will work fine. Certainly just as well as an OEM setup. Just keep the tank over half full when you go racing, and you're good.

Twelve years later, it's coming time to actually do things with the fuel system and I'm now unsure about plans I made a decade+ ago.

I've got the pump and the regulator and the pile of fittings to put it all together, but this discussion in the fuel injection forum has got me second-guessing all my fuel decisions.

I don't like that the pump has essentially barbed fittings for the high-pressure fuel.

Would I be better served with an in-tank pump like the Holley Sniper? (not that I have the budget for it, but if it's what needs to happen...)
