      10.78 @ 126.89 - A little better!

      We had a nice cool front blow through Houston yesterday, so I had to take advantage of the racing weather. It was about 39F out at Houston Raceway Park tonight, not sure on the DA yet. Raceweight still 3335 lbs. Nothing changed since last time except for a new pair of axle shafts.

      Previous best: 10.87 @ 125.01 (1.60)

      Best pass tonight:

      60'=1.57
      1/8=6.90
      mph=101.96
      1/4=10.78
      mph=126.89

      Two other passes tonight:

      60'=1.58
      1/8=6.91
      mph=101.79
      1/4=10.80
      mph=126.60

      60'=1.62
      1/8=6.93
      mph=101.96
      1/4=10.80
      mph=126.61

      Nothing broke tonight, but the tranny is acting up again. 3rd/4th gear synchro is very notchy. I plan on installing the NX nitrous kit this week, maybe I can get it done by next weekend. My quest for 9s continues...

      What size nitrous hit you gonna put on there Tony? 9's sounds really exciting.

      0.052 pill to start with. Thats a 100 hp shot on a regular engine, but should be worth 125-130 on a supercharged engine. If everything stays in one piece, 9s shouldn't be a problem.

      Couldn't pass up the weather. If I pull this blower it will be 2 weeks of no racing. Might wait a while and get the 9-second pass first.

      Pretty damn impressive. Looks like the 6 speed is the weak link as usual. I see lots of them scater round these parts.
      I agree. My experiance with NOS on blower application is exactly as you say, and 150 should be worth 1 second at these levels.
      We are renting out track this weekend, hoping for sea level air.

      Bob, Mark, Larry, pawnman, Lil Bull and some Mustang faggots. If the air is killer, I will run for a number, if not sea level, mine will stay in the garage as I have changed nothing and expect nothing new. Bob is talking about putting more hit to his looking for more. If you want to come out, just tell Randy you are crew for me.

      Well, 6-speeds typically are the weak link for sure, but the truth is that this one got installed in the car already in bad shape. It was a fresh rebuild and the guy must not have done it right. 3/4 have been notchy/grinding since day 1. I'll be rebuilding my spare T56 with better parts and installing it soon.

      I'd rather run a little slower and shift my own gears. Automatics are boring to me.

      Drag racings my thing. The nitrous will find your problem for sure. It has a habit of finding the weak link

      Tony,
      Your results are killer. Have you ever thought that your GTO intercooler may be holding you back? My friend Chris White (Editor at High Performance Pontiac) had a magnacharger on his bone stock 04 GTO and during tuning the intercooler was found to be inefficent. Magnacharger ended up buying the kit back from him becasue they didnt want the results published. This was all with 1300 miles on the car. Now at 1600 miles the car has an ATI kit and at the same boost level he is seeing 72 more rwhp.

      I'm just asking becasue I was think of doing about the same set up as you. Then after seeing Chris' results I'm rethinking myself.
