Sorry hoped that worked. Tried to attach them off my computer, but I could not figure out how to resize them. Just attached the links from Photbucket instead.

Forget the 383, looks like you got all the power you need in that engine bay

Yeah, with my Dad helping out it is deffinately going to go faster then me alone. Since he is retired he now works for sandwiches from the local Italian deli. I hope to have it done by the end of the month. We'll see if that happens. Its funny you take it apart to just do the engine and transmission. Then you find the master cylinder is leaking, and now the 11' booster wont fit with the tall valve covers. And so on....

Yep, I remember spending more time in the garage then actually doing me homework. Mom was not exactly thrilled about that, but she understood.

So I know everyone loves photos so...

Out comes the seats and center console.

Thanks here is what I've been up to....

I got the transmission in along with the cross member

Then cut the tranmission tunnel. I swear, thank god for the all mighty dremmel tool. No matter how many times I measured I had to trim the hell out of the hole. Oh and by the way Im not a complete idiot, the other hole was for the cables for the previous shifter.

Then the new drive shaft and almost done,

I have not decided on what Im gonna do about my center console. I know that it is a 67 console in a 68, but I got it 15 years ago for free and it was different at the time. But I cut the hell out it to fit the old B&M Quick silver shifter. any suggestion welcome.

      Welcome to the site!

Great project you and your father are doing together
that new engine will sure bring a grin on your face soon!

For that center console..you could cut a nice piece of
aluminum for it..paint it black, you could also add a nice
shift indicator "plate" if you wish on top the plate if you like.

Or you could do a nice leather boot..
Or you could find a console out of a 2002 or later Camaro

Many directions you can go with that new set up!

      Keep up the great work!

      -Jim
