Spindle and Upper A-arm Attachment
For the stock first gen GM F-cars the upper A-arm is attached to the top of the spindle. Some of the aftermarket subframes (DSE for one) has the spindle attach on top.
What are the advantages and disadvantages?Red Forman: "The Mustang's front end is problematic; get yourself a Firebird."

The DSE uses a C6 upright and it was designed for a greater range of motion and allows for a taller spindle design without wheel interference.
