      Hay don't for get that the LS7 has CAST pistons that I have heard aren't very good.

      Shouldn't be anything worse than the rest of the LSx pistons. If you're staying NA don't worry about it. Start boosting or gassing and you may end up with issues.

      I'm pretty sure they are hypereutectic. (sp?)

      I've read they they were questionable above 650hp I think......

      hypereutectic is still a cast piston.... just a different alloy..

      I'd go with our new 700 hp NA LS7.
      Add a dry sump to the LS2 or L92, see what that costs.

      Couldn't agree more. Crate LS2 built with your own heads/cam/tuning shouldn't be more than $2500 on top of the crate motor.
