      Gas mileage guess

Here is a website with a bbc that I am thinking about putting in my 68' Camaro, the only deference is that I will get;Dart Pro 1 325cc Aluminum, Mahle Custom Coated 9.5-1 Forged Aluminum Pistons, Comp Cams Custom Hydraulic Roller Cam, Comp Cams Hydraulic Roller Lifters, Milodon Street/Strip Oil Pan. I am just trying to get an idea of what my mpg is going to be, it really wont matter but I am still curious. Please don't say go sbc, because I have always had small blocks and now I want something different.

I'd say 3-30 mpg. depends on a host of stuff like trans, gear, tire, wind drag, weight, wind direction, alignment of stars....

8 city if you behave, 2 if you don't; 14mpg highway? if you get the carb tuned right I've seen 16mpg on mine with a prepped 750 HP series vs 11-12mpg with the 950 HP series - but it's only a little fuel efficent mouse motor.

      I get 16-17 mpg AVERAGE with a mild 350cui sbc , TKO600 5spd ( .64 od ) , 3.31 rear gears and 275/40/17 rear tires. And a 600cfm carb ( I said it was a mild motor)

Big blocks are always 4-5 mpg less on fuel economy than a small block.( I guess )

      I'd say you'll get 10-11 mpg Average.

      Just a Guess .

If you want something different, go LS1.

I know Big Blocks have a great coolness factor, but lets face it...they're yesterday's news.

Ya, but it seems like everybody has a LSx now. Not very many have 540ci or more, that I have seen.

Take that big block an put it on the R.R.track with a Ls of equal power an lets see what happens.
Same type car same suspension same driver.
I have had lots factory big block cars over the years 20 different chevelles, camaros, trucks all with big blocks.
All cool cars. but unless it is an all org. car you could not give me one to take around a track.
