      Project:Never Drive

I have been a member for a while and really never posted my project. I just really started hitting it hard,
      Truck starting out..
      1994 S-10 Reg Cab
      4/4 drop
      15x7 15x10 Ralleys
      all stock brakes

Im going to be going too.
5/6 drop (im going to start working on a set up upper arms)(i have lower arms for shockwave or coilovers, but im hoding off on coilovers)
C5 front brake set (im making all the brackets and stuff)
      LS1 rear disc
      Bonspeed wheels
      18x8 245/45/18 Nittos
      18x10 305/45/18 Nittos

Right now the truck has a 4.3L 5 speed, im going to build a nice little small block. I was thinking about starting out with the ZZ4 short block, AFR heads, thumper cam, Quick Fuel carb (E85)

      Old pic of the truck

Here are a few pics of the C5 brakes.
      Cut down stock S-10 rotor

Mock up bracket out of plastic(dont want to waste steel)

      Milling to right thickness

We just bought a bridgeport and lathe, got them hooked up yesterday and i have been playing with then since we got them hooked up.

Let me know what you think.

      Thanks Dan

Looks great. I just found a mills index milling machine. A friend of a friend sort of deal for a few hundred bucks. I have to remove it from the basement though.

Got the mock up bracket cut out and on, ended up having to mill .081" off. Time to Autocad it and send it out to get lasor cut out.

Also im looking for front coils, and im really liking the Hotchkis coils, had them in a truck before and loved them. And then do a adjustable shock.

Really nice looking S-10, I did the exact same brake conversion on my Nova. Good luck with the project!

Nice truck man! I have a '93 that that is dropped really hard and have thought about how cool it would be to make it turn and burn... other than just look sweet. Maybe you will help me guide my decsions on my own truck.

      I will be watching!!

You dont need to waste ur time with jason, i have talked to him and dave, and both say they dont plan to make them soon.

If i buy the arms i sent you i will make a droop stop. I found them in 4130 too for a few bucks more.

Im got a meeting with the lathe for a few hours, im going to be making my own rear leaf bushings out of nylon.

      Black on the calipers

Global west would be the only way to go if your going to run coil overs.

Ask for Kevin Doyle - tell him Marty with Syborg said Hi !!!

Definetly going to keep an eye on this thread.

Take it from somone who had red calipers, they were cool looking at first, but overtime I got sick of them. Stood out like a sore thumb. I'd go with black, or if you are wanting to show them off a little maybe do a silver.

What type of Bonspeeds are you thinking?

Thanks for taking the time and talking to me.

You have really got me thinking now. but the only thing im worried about is the tie rod hitting the frame, but i think i have plenty of room.

i might be calling you monday with a little order.

And for calipers im getting black, if i dont like that i will have them done in body blue.
