Help me post pictures please !

      I am not computer literate.
I have pictures in the " my pictures " area of my computer.
How do I post them on a thread on the website ?
      (Don't laugh , Please)

haaa haaa sorry, just had to.

Its not too difficult but might be hard to grasp. Three ways...
      Send them to TonyL (easiest)
use the attach file in the advanced reply (2nd easiest)
or down load to your garage and enclose a file link in your replies. (ok)

May sure you reduce the size of the picture or it will eat up your space.

indeed. You could send them to me. But if you can attach a picture to an email you should be able to attach one to a post.

when you are filling out text for a new post, (Click Go Advanced)
Look down under the text box. There's a window for Miscellaneous Options and one that says "Attach Files".

Click the "Manage Attachments" button. and browse to your "my pictures" folder, click on the picture you want to share and hit "open"

Finish filling out the text of your post and then post it. the images will be there.

Hey that guy looks familiar...looks kinda like Elvis...oh wait, thats YOU

when you attach that way, it will show up as a thumbnail, then open when it get clicked on. To have the image show up full size in the post, you'll need to host the pic someplace like ImageShack or photobucket...etc. then paste the link that gets generated by those sites into your message, and viola...the image shows up in your post.

Are you attaching a picture or linking to it? Attaching will make a thumbnail out of it.

Hey man, do what I did. Create a car domain account (free). Load all your pics up there. Once there on your car domain page right click on them, highlight the url for the pic you want. Then just copy it to pro-touring and put behind it and it will show up w/o being an attacheced file. Easy .....right???

The way I do it is go to Photobucket.com and create a free account. There is no charge at all.. After you create your account you can upload all your pictures, when you do so it automatically creates the different links needed to view/send your pics. To post a pic in the forums just copy the "IMG CODE" and paste it into your thread...

Does that make sense? It's super easy!!!
