      Project FNQUIK

      I Just decided to name my project after my liscence plate. So here is the reintroduction of my car FNQUIK I will show a few pictures of when I got it in 2003.







      My car is being completely rebuilt the nose, is GM, the rest is aftermarket. the car has been totaly dissassembled, scence these pictures the carcass has been blasted and sanded.
      They say you have to hit bottom before you climb to the top!
      OH I hope their right Scary!! Its a good thing I've seen some he has put back together. They were Awsome. Here are som pictures. Wayne

      Is that a camarosaurus skeleton I sure hope I don't have to strip mine that far when I get started on it again this winter.you've clearly got more ambition than me

      A Little Progress

      I went to see my car in September, he was finnishing annother car before starting back on mine. It was blasted then scotch brite sanded . After that it was primed with weld thru epoxi primer. All parts will be scotch brite sanded and primed in the same way. You can see the frame rails on the jig, and the rear going back together.
      Here are somre pictures the car is a little bit further ahead than this now.

      That might be the craziest think I've ever seen. The Royal Sport Camaro was in about the same shape from what I remember. I guess anything can be saved with enough time and money. God Speed man.

      Well now that you shown us the Camasaurus skeleton what are the plans, obviously complete rebuild but what will be the mods.

      Mods

      sudframe will have all seams welded and any repairs will be done then powdercoated tubeular DSE UCA's and delrin bushings for LCA's all new steering gear including box. droped 3", smooth fire wall move wiper under fender. Set up for Vintage Air hoses coming out under pass.fender. Having convertable rockers installed sub frame will be tied to rockers and have frame connectors. DSE mini tubs and springs. trunk will stay stock. Shock mounts will be under trunk floor, tank will be trimed in rear for offset shackles.
      The Engine will be motown 454 small block cooled by an Afco aluminum radiator. I have a spec Stage 3 hydraulic clutch with a Viper 6 spd. The rear will be a Chris Alston Fab 9 with a Moser 31 spline axles Auburn pro posi with nodular case powdercoated. Exhaust is a 3" stainless Mgnaflow x system. I have a dark smoked glass kit from Prodigy customs.
      When I get the car back it will be a roller. The bottom and fire wall and inner fenders will be painted black with Sikens paint.

      I'm just trying to immagine the scene, You get to the shop and know the car will be dismantled and find a sceleton like that. What a shock!
      Hope you were warned about it before you got there. LOL
