It’s a DSE, MCC said I could get it in but I might have to trim the lip on the wheel well a little.

      Latest update

Well I got a call about my tires They came in today. I think I'm going to wait to have them mounted. I'm not sure I'll go with full polish, I may powder coat the centers if I can lock down a body color so I can pick an accent color.

Then Brian sent some dash pictures for me to see.

And then he put this little note at the bottom.

All done come by and we'll go over what we did and we can make arrangement to get her home!!!

As our friend GW always said

      YEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAW!

Thanks guys! Interesting couple of days , last night pressure in my chest plucked, poked stabbed and no reason for it to be happening. Got home 3 AM so I stood in bed late, then the wife comes in and wakes me. The guy cutting the grass put a stone through my Tahoe back window. They make a pretty puzzle when that happens. Then some good news my tires were ready for me to come get' so tomorrow when the truck is done I'll go pick them up.

I got a picture of them

Now I need to decide if I want the wheel centers powder coated so I can have them mounted. I need a rendering so I can decide on body color.

Congrats on getting the car home! Amazing how far it's come.

What color schemes have you been considering?

Thanks Clint, as anybody knows color is the toughest thing to nail down. I like the F150 Ruby Red Metallic with grey accent. There's an orange I'm in love with ( I really like it !)but I don't want to use a tri coat, with the same grey accent color. I'm trying to get a grip on it but it's so tough.

It's tougher to blend if it gets damaged and I want to drive it once it's done, I've got a lot of years to make up for. lol The cost has to be quite a bit higher.
      I like this orange.

I like how it stays orange and doesn't have the gold high lites.

Check out the Dave Kindigs line of paints, they have basecoats that look like tri-coats.https://modernclassikk.com/

It's funny u picked two of the colors that I picked. I liked the ford metallic but started to see to many vehicles with it. I liked the orange too but was afraid if I ever sold the car it would limit who might buy it. Didn't want the tri-coat for the same reason. Much more difficult to match.

Wayne, if you talk yourself out of what you really want by using a little fear or common sense, that's fine. But aren't hot rods driven by passion and not logic? After all the time and effort you've put into this, don't make a choice that you could regret every time you walk out into the garage.

I agree. Build to suit yourself, not the next owner, unless you're building it specifically to sell in which case paint it red or blue, the two most popular colors if you're not a car dealer.
