Has anyone put a 4th gen F body console in their car
Wondering if anyone has put a late 4th gen console in their car. I am thinking of putting one in my 71 firebird, A guy has a 2002 WS6 console for sale, it looks a little wide, and it seems as the shifter boot is offset, wondering if it will work, unfortunately they are in Canada, so if it doesnt' work i will have to try and sell it :( any pics or hints is great!

You mean like this?
The toughest part is welding up the mounts for the shifter and Console.. It is a bit wider at the front (wider than the trans tunnel).. easy enough to fix when doing the interior

yes, it did look to wide at the front to fit the tunnel, can you snap me a shot from the pass side? I have a manual so it should be easier. Can you explain how you made it fit?

If it doesn't work for you I might be interested in it. I have a DN 5-speed that has an offset shifter, so it might fit pretty good. I think I will eventually get an LS1 with the 6-speed so it should work for that too. Is it black? How much?Jeff
