I agree....next is a chassis dyno and some jetting changes. It's running great but a little fat since it was dyno tuned in NC. Should have time to start paying a little more attention to her in the next couple months. I haven't even had a chance to tune my shocks or finish the last little of the interior. Been playing with some timing adjustments here lately.

Doesn't making a streetfighter to look like a show car make it kind of a sleeper thing going on all at the same time.

All of the polished suspension pieces on my car are not for show but because deburred and polished aluminum is 200% to 400% stronger and usually lighter which is a major adgenda of all racing parts. So shiny and showy is a double edged marvel of beauty and racecars are beautiful to me when they are just finshed and fresh.

Bad Penny is a very beautiful and functionally showy racecar. Don't believe it ? Look what won the optima challenge !!!!!

Congrats on everything Bad Penny has going for it Steve.

I didn't say it couldn't have slick paint.Do you viciously pound on Penny on the weekends?{I don't know Steve, when you first got the car,and were doing it,it was Streetfighter,I think you've crossed over to art work, man that thing is gorgeous}I guess there is nothing saying a fighter can't have a pretty face{usually they don't though, broken noses and that}LOL.Ron

You did not just say Rat-Touring did you? PLease stop, I hate rat cars we do not need someone spoofing a rat-touring site?
PS.....Penny has had a few broken noses? Steve tell us how many CF spoilers you have went through? Isn't the spoiler on a car like a nose on a fighter? Hell I think penny was even in a pile-up on a CA. Highway at one point in time? I know it was not on purpose, but she did get the hell beat out of her?

I think Steve is saying we dressed Larry's car up to much inside. Fancy door panels, fancy rear seat. I kind of agree. I think a true street fighter is a race car with a license plate, like Steves and SteveOs.

Actually I think Larry's car is perfect as is.. but it's more of the apex of Pro-Touring than Streetfighter. Although once you get those turbos sorted out that thing is going to haul butt

      Streetfighter

I have never been much for labels. But there is no doubt that Stevo's Camaro had a major influence on the build style for my Elky, as well as Steve R's car. I gained ideas from them and many others. Frank is spot on that a race car with tags is what I would call a "streetfighter". Spartan, purpose built is what I was after. Very little bling. Regardless of what it is called, I do appreciate the exchange of ideas and the wealth of knowledge available on this site. I thank Larry for making that possible.

Does it have to be on the street to be a streetfighter?

I can't wait to do a burnout in a patch of gravel...just for more street cred

I keep forgeting to ask but Bad Penny mentioned his steering column. Where can i get some info on what you did? I really like the way your interior turned out. Like you said nice but everything has a purpose. Is the steering column just circle track stuff?

Oh I don't think it has much to do with how new they are. It has to do with their features, or lack thereof, as Steve mentioned.

Those cars have very nice interiors, especially the One Lap. I love em, but they look nicer than what I would think of as a Streetfighter.

Hell, Penny's interior is nice too but it's all business at the same time.

hmmm coming in a bit late to the convo....

but.. IMO a streetfighter is more than just 'name' it's more of a mind set... if you beat the living piss outta your car, and have no regard for doing things 'proper' then i'd say you own a streetfighter....

i grew up with streetfighter magazine... read it every month... maybe thats is why i like pro-touring so much, people taking older bikes, shoving on new suspension, bigger motors, huge turbos, custom frames etc etc. it didn't matter if it had a nice seat.. or shiny paint... it just had to be one thing.... flat out bad ass....

so the same with pro touring cars... have a bad ass car... and you drive it like it's stolen.... well .. you my friend have a streetfighter.

No link. Probably not even available yet. Scott @ Lateral G posted some pics of their display from SEMA in his thread over there....
