The engine that I have did not have DoD. Its an 04. I am going to use the MSD 6010 controller for the spark and a Commander 950 for fuel.

I am also interested in using a 5.3 for mileage in my '69 bird. Its been tough getting information because most folks on the forums could care less about mileage. However, with the 5.3 you can probably get over 30 mpg with a six speed and still get near 400 horse. Now that combination makes for a fun cruiser!
