      Chevelle Roll Cage

I was wondering if anyone has used one of those weld in roll cage kits like from Jegs or something similar. Do most people mount the cage to the frame rails through the floor pans or do they just mount them to the floor pans. I may not need a cage right now, but it will be necessary in the future. I dont mind going overboard on safety anyways. One other thing, can I mount harnesses to a cross bar on the roll cage, or should that be something completely different. I dont really care about using the back seat either. Thanks alot for the info.

On a car with a full frame like your chevelle, the cage has to be attached to the frame, not the floor. I have used a Comp Eng kit on a f-body, fit wasn't too bad. A custom cage would fit the car better though.
