Looks good Colt. I can't wait to see your reaction when it's finally driveable again.

actually Allen, I have been thinking about that as it gets closer to completion...im not sure if I even know what my reaction will be when I take it for the first time with the LS1 swap and all. It wont have a rediculous amount of HP, prolly around 400, but it will still be the most powerful car I have ever owned, I CANT WAIT MAN!!!!!!!

Just so you don't mess anything up on the first drive, I suggest you wear a condom.

      GIANT balancer??

      Car looks sweet!

Is it just me or is that harmonic balancer big? I'm not familiar with the new motors and I don't think I've ever looked under the hood of an 1990-2004 F-Body.

      http://www.directimagehost.com/is.p...974MVC-010S.JPG
doesn't look like $1k, but it does look very nice

is the ls1 new or well cleaned?
how reasonable is dse on their labor prices?

      Shane -

I believe that the tank is a Rock Valley unit, you can go on their website and look at the product. Of course, I believe it may be a modified unit compared to what you see on the website, nevertheless, very nice and with the quality, I would say worth the price. Remember, it is set up for fuel injection and all those goodies, so much different than a stock carburated engines tank. As for shop prices, I believe that DSE is still the most reasonable around. I know what the hourly rate was, but not sure if that has changed. I want to say it was around $45/hour??? That may be wrong, maybe colt can correct me.

The LS1 is actually a 2001 with 17,000 miles. it came out of a firebird formula that a guy showed with his 68 firebird. they were painted alike and everything, on the way to a show, I guess the 01 FB was t boned and totalled. so I got the motor and trans!!! The tank is a DSE TANK and it is narrowed for my mini tub, and also set up for fuel injection for the LS1 Im running and for the price...it is well worth the price...very nice quality......as for shop rate.....dont really want to discuss it..not sure if its the same or if it will change with their move.....etc... but I do know for the quality of work....they are definatly one of the most reasonable shops around and did I mention QUALITY WORK????? they are awesome and very helpful and IM VERY happy I choose Kyle, Stacy and their staff to do this build!!!! thanks again guys for the kind words.
