Here's a few pics of my Bird. I just got her back on the road after a year long upgrade. I will be making the switch to EFI in the next few weeks.

Is that really a 326? I've always wondered if the Kaufmann heads fit a 326/350. I figured with 1.66 valves and a not too crazy camshaft they probably would. For Edelbrocks and more than .5" lift you need to notch the bore.

      No it's not a 326. It's actually a 461 now. Was a 400 a year ago.

Hhmmmm. Factory high performance exhaust manifolds, factory paint colored aftermarket aluminum heads and intake, and a prominent decal displaying 135ci less than actual. Wouldn't happen to have nitrous lines disguised in electrical conduit and a bottle hidden somewhere too, would we? Naughty, naughty. I bet you're not even a doctor either.

I don't think you can ever go wrong with black exterior/ red interior on an old car. Muscle or not.

You can see straight down the center of the pipes but they have baffles in them. Nice sound, low rumble around town. Since they point away they're not loud in the car but they set off car alarms in the city and parking garages even if you're easy on the gas. I got tired of the tape #'s at HPDE and open track events looking crappy in pics so I had the stickers made up with the old school Trans Am look. They're made with special easy to peel sticky stuff so I can remeve them when I want and cost 45 bucks a set from a printing shop so they're disposable sort of. I'll keep them on till the XV Motorsports event at Pocono then take them off for a while.

Thanks guys! Here's another pic that shows a couple of the mods I'm currently working on. I replaced the headlights with halogens in a lightweight plastic "headlight" that also incorporates LED's for the park/turn signals in the bottom of the light. They're protected with stainless grills over the "headlight" so I don't have to tape them up on road courses. I installed the lights so I could use the park/turn openings in the splashpan for brake cooling ducts. I've fabbed grills to keep papers etc out from the same grill material as the radiator grills. Now I just need to finish up the ductwork and make a way to shut the ducts when I'm just driving on the street.
