Thanks. It is called graphite grey metallic, a Daimler Chrysler color. It has a high % of fine aluminum in the formula. Sparkles in the bright sun and looks almost black at night. Can send the formula if you pm me your email address. Here are some more shots.

Thanks again guys. We painted the tailpanel and dash with the same formula, but darkened it slightly by increasing the black 200%. It's very subtle. We think the color fits a musclecar nicely and with the highly polished ss trim it pops. We won't even have a pinstripe. It's not needed.

      69 convertible project

Here are a couple. I'm turning two cars into one good one. The good stuff I started for the yellow bird is going into the red one.

I found his home page in the project updates section and he stated that the yellow one has serious rust and previous body repair issues.

Yes. The yellow bird has serious rust issues. Both inner and outer rockers rusted through. Needs both rear quarters, inner and outer wheel wells, front floor pans, trunk. It will be available if anyone is interested in a project needing some serious work. I'll attach the subframe from the red bird along with the engine and tranny from the red one and see if I can sell it as a project. The red bird has a 350 / 350 in it with a 4bbl intake and quadrajet. It was rebuilt not too long ago and looks really nice, but it has some valve problems. Whoever rebuilt it put too stiff of valve springs in it and a few of the pressed in rocker studs are pulling out. I have another set of small valve heads with new valves that I will probably put on it.

I am not too worried about keeping originality, in fact if I keep it up I'm going to have to name it something else 'cause it won't look anything like the Smokey and the Bandit car!

Hey check it out though guys, I have updated my garage with all full size pics. Also, I have a butt ton of pics, including some tech info, at my 2 sites so check 'em out! I am not able to post my pics directly on this post like the dude above me, due to a serious technological impairment from which I have suffered for years. (If anyone can tell me how to link my cardomain site to here, shoot me a PM or something and I'd appreciate it.)

I also want everyone's honest opinion about my rim choice--a little radical for this car I realize, 18" Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dogs. I like 'em more and more every day, especially in the twisties! Just want to know how you think they look. So sign my guestbook(s) or shoot me an email or whatever.
      Peace!

Honestly, Those rims are smok'n! Nice Choice!
