      TCI Super Street Fighter

Buddy of mine has a 68 440 GTX with low 3's or high 2's in rear. 2800 stahl. Tranny burnt up. 1/2'' of metal shavings in pan.
Mechanic said the stalh was to much for car with that gear set. My question is, could this happen to mine?
      355 gears
      25.71'' tall tires
TCI 3800 stahl recommended by them
TCI Super Street Fighter recommended again.
      454 with 550hp.
I really do not want to burn this tranny up. It is FANTASTIC right now. Shifts hard, no lag and lanches the car GREAT.

Thanks for your comments in advance

your stall should not be higher than your cruising rpm..if your pulling 2500 at 70 mph then your converter is not fully locked..your trans will over heat and eventualy burn up...have seen this happen before at my shop
