      Adjustable distributor slip collar?

As I was reading in the sept. issue of super chevy I was told that they used an adjustable distributor slip collar to make the dual sync distributor work right with the cam gear to help it find top dead center on the crank.

I am using this set up and am not getting others to understand why it is I need and would like to know if anyone has a part number or any other info on this as I still have time to work this problem out before the final install of the distributor.

      Jim,
This might help support what you are looking for.

      http://home.comcast.net/~sparky007/B..._IPU_Setup.pdf

Page 21 has the MSD GM and Ford dual Sync Distributors and Part #s for both.

      I hope this helps,

What system are you using? If it's GEN 7 DFI and your using their dual sync, there's an adjustment in the distributor under the rotor. Loosen the two small phillips head screws and the rotor shaft will move for fine adjustment.
