I just asked this question on another board. Some people said not to worry about it that their car had a ton of endplay and had for years. I was told that is caused usually by how much wear the clutches of a my posi have. Are you using a posi? The only solution I have found is that people buy valve spring shims, because they are almost the indentical size and are hardened steel. They can be easily cut to work with the c-clip and take up space in the grove on the axle and reduce your endplay.
