      You Gotta watch this one!

      http://www.bmwtransact.com/microsite/Nurburgring/

Mike, VintageRacer sent me this link. This is probably the very best track time video I have watched. Of course, with Hans Stuck driving, what would you expect? The last minute with the long straight haul is the best.
This may be a repeat, but is cool enough to watch again.
      Thanks Mike.

That Crack in the windshield bugged the crap out of me! Other than that, SWEEEET!! We need a track like that out here! I was almost hoping he had a 7th gear to grab in the long haul.

That was awesome! What is that track like 20 miles long?

I agree with Nick. We need a track like that here somewhere.

That track is the "RING" or Nueburgring to those in Europe. It something like 16 miles long. It is open everyday for high speed driving. Just pay the toll and HAVE AT IT!!!!

You can drive as fast as you want just watch out so you do not get run over. Just look at the video and you can see Hans BLOW by turbo Porsches at speed. I understand that at least 1 biker a month gets killed touring the track at speed. I understand that the day this was filmed was not a special track day, just a normal day at the RING in nice weather.

This is the track were GM tested/developed the new C6 and Cadillac CTV.

I wish there was a speedo or tach or something showing. Any idea how fast he was going on that long straight away?
Just a normal day huh? Man, talk about just another day in paradise, what a place to just hang out.

Stielow knows that track very well I think. I should ask him if he has any videos he can share.

Here is an old thread that might be worth reading. I think the link is dead but there is more talk about this video.

That wasn't the full track, it was a shortend, the track goes down hills in areas, and was at one time part of the German high way system, I think it goes through the Black Forrest, can't remember a whole lot,

This site show a mini panel wagon running the full Ring if it still works

Ya baby! What a track! That's the old 14 mile plus Grand Prix track. Could you imagine racing there in the 50's and 60's in an old open wheel Grand Prix car when there were no guard rails, just trees, and racing in the rain to boot! They have even smoothed out the parts where they would get airborne. Thanks for the share. Made my day.

Isn't this track in GT3?? I could swear that half the time I was thinking back a couple years with a PS2 controller in my hand. Maybe it was the desire to be there.

Actually GT4. I know this because I have 3 and have refused to buy 4 because I would have no life and probably loose my job due to this track.
