Design Programs
I was wondering what programs some designers use to design works of art cars, Kris Horton for example uses the program, can anyone tell me what programs do i need to buy to start design my own project so i can work on it in school.

The best 3D modeling software is made by a company called Alias. Both Maya and StudioTools will do the job well. Also, a very good program is called Rhinocerous. I also use Lightwave made by Newtek. I have used all four programs, and I would recommend either Maya or Rhino. You must realize however that all of these programs have a very difficult learning curve if you have not used a similar program before. Also, the academic versions do not allow for the use of all of the programs features, so if you can afford it, I would recommend getting the professioanl version. The Professional versions are all very pricey.
