Not to put down the power of the big block but could the same thing be done with the ZZ4 383 crate motor. It's putting out 425 horse with 9.1:1 compression pistons and comes with the fast burn heads. Will the compression be low enough for a pro-charger. I'd like to have this setup intercooled also. What hp do you think? I'd guess at least 600.

If you ever look at the articles on Wonder Mutt, that is the basic setup.

For some reason, I can't get the electronic version of the article, but it was in the January 2005 issue of Chevy High Performance:
Wonder Mutt -Our 355ci Mouse makes 765 hp on 91-octane

My reason for the small block is simple. I have a buddy that wants to sell me a 350 that came out of his latemodel roundtrack car. The motor is freshly rebuilt. Forged internals with at least 12:1 pistons right now. It also has way to much cam for the street. It does have aluminum heads but I can't remember who makes them. I think they are 18 degree with angle plug. It is producing about 600 hp right now. Will this car be streetable with lower comp pistons and a cam specifically cut for the blower? Is $3500 a bad price?

Sounds like a good deal. Lower compressions and a blower cam grind and you'll be ready. I assume since it is a "race" motor, the bottom end contains a good block, crank and rods.

This motor is going in a 68 camaro with stock front suspension. will the 18 degree heads give me a problem with finding headers that will fit?
