Can't post in Classifieds or Send PM's? Read me

If you're unable to post in the classifieds, or receive an error when sending a PM, don't worry, nothing's wrong.

We have put some protections in place to safe guard the community from spammers & people who try to buy and sell without first being a part of the community.

Pro-Touring.com is not a classifieds site, we're an established community that's running over 20 years strong, and there is an implicit trust implied in doing business here.

(That said, it's always important that you do your due diligence, and we don't endorse or guarantee any listing here.)

So why can't you post or send PM's yet?

If you're new to the community, you'll see a big notice at the top of every page that explains some parts of the forum you don't yet have access to until you participate more - Classifieds and PMs being a part of that.

The answer is that simple: nothing is wrong with your account, it's just too new here for us to provide access to one of the highest traffic sections of the forum, where a lot of real money & great cars get transacted.

To fix this, just participate more.



It's that simple.

Post in some threads, share your knowledge, acknowledge some cool builds - maybe start with introducing yourself in our Welcome Forum if you haven't already, or posting your build in the Project Updates forum.

When our system picks up you've reached a certain level of activity (it won't take long), your account will automatically be fully unlocked, and you'll see a new notification message saying that.

That said, for those of you reading this who can't post Classifieds or PM yet - so those new here - I really want to welcome you to the community. This is a great place, we've been around a long time, and we've got an great community. I'm glad you've chosen to be a part of it. It's just going to take a little patience and participation (i.e. being a part of the community) to get to have all the features that some of the awesome people you're about to meet (some of whom have been here 20+ years) already have. It won't take you nearly that long though, we just want to make sure you're a real person with a legit interest in this hobby we all love so much.

So after you make some more posts, we'll see you back in these Classifieds, and you'll be able to directly connect with members via PMs
