If your tank is aluminum, that fuel gauge may not work, just a heads up.

It is Coated galvanized steel then Powder Coated Silver. So I’m thinking it should be good?

Yep, it will be fine. They were having trouble with aluminum tanks reflecting the lidar. Maybe because it was just to shiny, not sure. But guys were complaining that they were getting false readings with aluminum tanks. Steel is fine, you should be all good.

Motor is out and being decked and honed. Will rebuilt starting next week. Upgrading 3rd member yoke to 1350 sealed UV joints. Ceramic coated the headers. New motor mounts. Heat shielding the floor. New radiator expansion tank. New becool radiator (last one had pin holes and was spraying coolant all over the engine compartment). Welding up all the old mount holes in the engine comparment and spraying it flat black. installed new Boss 429 hood scoop. Sheesh, lots going on with Shamona.

Took the big block out of my wagon and working on a turbo LS swap. I've run a carb'd 496BBC/TH400 in the wagon for 15 years, switching to a fuel injected, turbo 6.0 with a 4l80E, hopefully the fuel economy picks up a bit.Name: 20241222_150508.jpg

Currently.... need to replace the 2pc rear main seal on my SBC 350 (used a rubber Fel-Pro, but now going to try the Flouroelastamer Fel-Pro one). This is going in my 1964 C20 Restoratmod 'Shop Truck' named STEEVE. I can let the truck idle all day long and not a drop of oil will drip, but once I go for a 10 minute drive and do 50mph or more, then back of the oil pan, starter and flywheel housing are coated in oil. So going to see if this material will do the trick as many reviews state it has worked for them.

Also need to start the Resto/ProTouring build of my 1973 Pontiac Firebird Formula. Talking with my friend (whose car I co-drive in SCCA autocross) about just doing the build in his shop. My wife also state I could get a lift for my garage. So many choices!

Lastly, just finished competing at the SCCA Spring Nationals with my friend's 1967 Firebird (ProTouring). I was happy with my results as I had passed a few people who I had not beaten yet, but got bumped out of the trophies by the last two people running. Day one was dry, day two was soaking wet!
