2014 Mustang GT 5.0 6 speed Barton shifter install.

Just thought I'd share the install of the Barton shifter. I watched the install video a few times. Seemed pretty straight forward and it was for most part. The video said to loosen a couple nuts on the bottom side off the car so the shifter could hang down a bit so you can get at the right rear shifter bolt. I didn't do that, I just took my die grinder and notched the sheet just enough to get a socket on the bolt. Then the stock shifter came right out. But the Barton shifter has a thicker base plate than the stock shifter and I couldn't get it to go in. So towards the front of the tunnel hole I took my die grinder and again made a small notch. Then the shifter slide right in. The rubber shifter boot completely covers up the notches. So no crawling under the car!
The Barton shifter is great. So much tighter than the stock shifter.
