Low amp kill switch on LS3: Crank / Cam Position sensor

Has anyone installed a kill switch using a cam or crank position sensor? In theory, this would allow the car to spin over but not start. I have some 6 amp switches I can hide pretty easily and don't really want to run a relay (in the case I might use the ECM ignition/power).

      Thoughts?

As finicky as these sensors are you might run in to noise related issues with a switch inline? It's a good idea for disabling the car, if you can get the switch in with the wire run and don't add extra length, I'd say give it a shot.

I'd be leary of adding resistance to a sensor circuit. But I could be wrong.

Gen IV crank and cam sensors typically have pull up resistors in the circuit to help with noise issues. That said, I agree that I would not monkey with that too much

I think it might be more simple to add a disable switch to the fuel pump trigger and accomplish the same

Sounds good, I"ll look into plumbing it into the fuel pump side.

if you switch the crank or cam sensor, id switch the power wire to the sensor, not the signal wire

      That's the answer, great thinking!

Keep in mind you will get a DTC doing this when the switch is off and you're trying to crank.
