T56 Mag case casting/trans tunnel interference & Off center case casting

Anyone have this portion of the trans case on the passenger side just kiss the trans tunnel? What was your solution? I'm thinking of cutting off 1/2 inch of it when I pull the drivetrain out. 69 Camaro with Art Morrison subframe.

I assume this is normal but are the T56 Mag case castings a little off center in the casting webbing? Seems odd. You can see the quick time bell bolt holes are level so it's not from the engine being off level.

Mine is the same as far as the entire transmission having a slight tilt, and I’m using a factory GM F-body bellhousing.

The t56 does sit with a slight "tilt" to it ... as far as that ear .. there seems to be no issue with trimming it .. I considered the same with mine before I sold it

I cut both places off of my t56 so I wouldn't rub the tunnel.
