EFI Fuel Line Routing for NEWB

      Hi,

I have a 69 Camaro with a Tanks Inc EFI tank and in-tank pump. I'm trying to run supply and return lines to a Sniper on my 383. I have also purchased the Tanks Inc universal line kit. My question is what is the best way to run the S&R lines? Most people I've seen have used hard line long the body, but I've already purchased soft lines. The plan is to try and run them along the OEM rout with padded clips. Then where it crosses from the frame to the engine it will switch to a braided line. I have all the fittings for this plan. Is this a good plan? Where should I mount the lines? How do I keep them from laying on the engine and/or the header since they will not be going to the mechanical pump any longer? This tank is a vented tank and comes with a vent/rollover check valve. Can I run the vent line up the filler neck? There is a clip on the neck that I can mount/clip the line to. It was suggested to put it in the wheel well, but there is not much room and I would think it will be a problem when I switch to larger wheels/tires.

      Thanks for any help.

Surely someone with a Camaro can offer some suggestions. If you need help tuning the Sniper EFI, please keep me in mind.

Are the stock, hard lines still in place? If so, it seems like it would be pretty straightforward to just follow the factory routing, just watch out for "pinch" points around the front & rear suspension. Transitioning to braided line around the engine sounds like a good idea, just make sure to use high-quality, ethanol rated hose that won't break-down and clog up your Sniper throttle body.

The hardlines are gone, but I have an AIM for the car. I have a ridetech suspension front and rear. Using Tank Inc main lines and pushlock fittings and Holley braided and fittings to the Sniper. Was going to use my best judgement. But I only want to do it once, especially if I have to drill into the car etc.

What I did on my Cutlass and plan to do on my Nova is us the S&R on the body front to rear. I cut the end then I used my flare tool to make a small bubble on the end. Took my fuel hose and used Oetiker clamp to hold that to the hard line, other end connects to fuel rail with push lok fitting.
      Big dreams, small pockets....

I have two Sniper equipped cars, one running a full length return line and one running a Corvette filter/regulator that returns directly at the tank. The car with the vette return runs exactly the same and with it's easier install this is how I'll run them in the future.

And have AndrewB70 tune it for you. He's done both of mine.

Recommend running Teflon though. Otherwise fuel vapors can bleed through rubber and smell up the garage.

I've been running Teflon for about 15 years now with zero issues.
