EFI Fuel Line Routing for NEWB
Hi,
I have a 69 Camaro with a Tanks Inc EFI tank and in-tank pump. I'm trying to run supply and return lines to a Sniper on my 383. I have also purchased the Tanks Inc universal line kit. My question is what is the best way to run the S&R lines? Most people I've seen have used hard line long the body, but I've already purchased soft lines. The plan is to try and run them along the OEM rout with padded clips. Then where it crosses from the frame to the engine it will switch to a braided line. I have all the fittings for this plan. Is this a good plan? Where should I mount the lines? How do I keep them from laying on the engine and/or the header since they will not be going to the mechanical pump any longer? This tank is a vented tank and comes with a vent/rollover check valve. Can I run the vent line up the filler neck? There is a clip on the neck that I can mount/clip the line to. It was suggested to put it in the wheel well, but there is not much room and I would think it will be a problem when I switch to larger wheels/tires.
Thanks for any help.
