Anyone know where I can find a cad file for an old 70's vintage small block chevy with heads? I would love to have one to go with my moon intake I am working on.

Got em, I already had those LOL :D I have editions 3,4,5^& 6 of the power book and some have more drawings than others.

Larry, are you working on a moon crossram intake? I may still have the model of mine somewhere, it's not a moon but it is fairly similar. I do have the dcoe/dhla mounting patterns somewhere and the manifold flanges. I just may still have the manifold.

I hope this will work for you its the overall dimensions for 8.1L Vortec BigBlock.

Page 2 shows the engine mount locations as close as I could figure
Page 3 shows the exhaust flange location

John, there isnt some way I could just get the basic "box" dimensions of it? Motor mounts, length, and the header bolt locations? Thats all I really need... just enough information to make a dummy shape like guy with the belts and pully system did... some point the future Id like to make it accurate to have a full model... but for now, I just need to get the cage and basic chassis designed... (and an aweful lot of suspension and drive line components). Thanks for the answer tho! Its greatly appreciated!

I'm feeling inspired... maybe I'll join sema as a manufacturer just to get at the CAD data-- could be fun to do some custom motor accessory brackets, etc. Does anyone know how much of the cars they give out?? (i.e. motor, tranny, suspension, interior?) -Dan
