Couldn't find a good wheel model online so I created these. Both are 17x10 in this configuration but the rim model has 6 widths by 1 inch increments so I can change wheel width and offset by using the different rim half widths.

Here is a transmission for a hybrid car. It was part of the final project for my mechanical engineering degree. I was on the transmission team. In that pic, my focus was the differential.

This project was last year and I graduated in December. Anyone need a new engineer?

The rest of the project is here: http://customhybrids.ca/

By chance does anyone have a autocad file of a LSX block and a l92 head they would be willing to part with?, I need to make some parts and it would be nice if I didn't have to have my buddy draw everything from scratch.

I use NX6(unigraphics) at work soon to be going to NX7.5 in a couple weeks, I work for Winnebago (the RV company) I don't get to create a lot of steel parts, but have done my fair share. I've got a folder full of brackets and stuff I've had made at work, mostly simple stuff , nothing fancy.

Does anyone have a GM throttle body?

I am going to make a billet adapter. The shape is not an ellipse. It's also not exactly a 4" circle squashed. I tried reverse engineering it and I keep winding up with waves in it.

Larry, I am betting the throttle body is more like 4 arcs instead of an eliptical shape. Something like this I quickly threw together. I bet the smaller arcs are offset from the blade centers & the top & bottom is an arc tangent to the smaller ones. I did this in NX, default is a comma instead of a period, so it looks funny, but 58,0 is 58.0 mm. I just guessed on the dimensions.

Hello I'm new to the forum and am currently building a 72 Maverick Grabber. I am currently designing the front suspension using C6 spindle and hub. I'm doing the design work in solidworks. Would anyone have a solid model of this or of the AFX spindle hub that they wouldn't mind sharing.

      Thanks Lance

I have a C6 wheel bearing that I could share.
Let me know if you get a spindle. I would also need that

Nice work! Do you have any more screen shots?

EDIT: Nevermind, your build thread is full of them. Very nice!

      Anders,

What version of SW are you using?

Check out this link for stp files on the spindle. I have not pulled measurements to check the files, but they look good.

Not a big part, but I have a quick model of a c5/c6 vette front rotor 12.79"

Do you have a link to your bearing? or any other vette parts?

      Robert

      Ah, great link! Thanks alot!

PM me your e-mail address and I can send it to you.
I can try to place it somewhere on the web, but right now it's easier to e-mail it...

      [off topic]BTW, found this picture in the thread;

Is that hub carrier a stock part on the vette? Anyone know where I can get one pair for a reasonable price?
      [/off topic]

BTW: I'm running SW 2011 together with Photoview360 for the renders.

yep, those are the stock knuckles for the vette. I have not looked for them in a while, but you use to be able to find them for just under $100 each used. Not sure what they go for new.

      I'll shoot you my email.

Do any of you know where I can get a solidworks model of a 68-72 chevelle front clip? I want to design a new Modified race chassis and we use that clip to start with per our rules. It would be pretty time consuming to try and recreate that so if someone has it, it SURE would be appreciated.

You can E-Mail me at [email protected]
