68 Camaro ignition switch wiring help needed please

I have spent hours researching but I continue to be stumped so I am reaching out for some guidance from this great group.

I have a 68 Camaro with a painless wiring loom. I don’t know where to put the pink “coil” wire. My loom has a brown wire labeled “ignition” and I have it going to the ignition plug so that one is taken. The only two left are Key + and key -.

I am installing an LS3 so do I not need the coil wire or is it used with an LS swap.

      Thank you for any advise.

Pink wire goes on IGN and then routes to the LS3's ECM power pin. It is what tells the ECM that the key is on. Brown wire should go to ACC.

The issue is that my brown wire says ignition printed on it and my pink wire has coil written on it.

My orange wire has accessory written on it.

Ok, I just took a look at the Painless manual.

Pink and Orange connect to IGN
      Brown to ACC
      Purple to SOL
      Red to BAT
      Green to GND

What's the part number of the Painless harness you are using?

Not sure as it came with the car. Guessing it is 10 years old.

Sounds like I need to combine the ignition wire and coil wire. Connecting both to the ignition tab on switch.

      Thank you.
