      Which LS SWAP OIL PAN?

working on third build, last pan is a trash can after rods put windows in it.
is there anything new out there for 1 gen camaro? lowered 2" front 1.5" rear so ground clearance takes precedence.
have owned Milodon Road race pan, nice, 5.5 pan depth
have also owned MAST pan also great product. 5.75" pan depth
have yet to try a holley 302 pan, but using their motor mounts and header combo.
looked at a few, autokraft and moroso but no first hand experience with either.
Any recommendations based on experience and lowered application would be appreciated.

we used champ pans LS1000 on our 1967. LS with stock subframe and rear mount rack.

Our car is really low and we have not had issues with the pan

thx for the suggestion, have you had any oil leakage issues with the bolt on oil filter assembly?
The MILODON pan was similar in design and first time around it had a slooooooow seep, eventually realigned with fresh gasket and went away.

I'd highly recommend going with the 302-3 if it's going into a first gen Camaro. Especially since you already have their mounts and headers.

If I remember correctly we did replace the o-rings with ones slightly thicker to stop a slow leak. No issues now.

doesnt the 302-3 have provisions for oil return lines in the sides?
Not sure id ever use it unless i made up some sort of self draining, check valve, catch can set up.

I'll go into the wayback machine....

The Speedtech/ATS pan is a very good performer. Does not hang down below the su frame. Only drawback is that it requires a remote filter.

My memory is failing but I’m pretty sure they discontinued that pan.

Go with the 302-2 if you dont need stroker clearance or drainbacks.
      My half a$$ed build thread.https://www.pro-touring.com/threads/...elle-6-0-4L60E

Tighten it till it strips & back it off a quarter turn.

      Thanks for the suggestion Carl,
was running both the MAST and the Milodon pan with Vibrant racing remote, thermostatically controlled, oil filter mount with oill cooler and worked fine but was a tight fit running proper ss braided hoses with plenty of mounting clamps and safety wire to keep them off the path of original rear steer linkage and steering box.
No longer auto xing car nor plan to, maybe a flying mile once a year and some occasional FAMOSO drag passes but more of a stoplight to stoplight bruiser these days.

Appreciate the suggestion and yup fully forged, 3.622 stroke stock stroke on a 6.125 h-bean rods with a 4.125 piston topped with 2.9 whippple.
So looking at 302-2 pan but leaning towards Mast simply due to cost and added kit components.

Holley GM SWAP pan 302-2 base cost at 414.95 is less initially but doesn't include baffle or windage tray, baffle is extra 285.95 an oem windage tray is 36.00 bucks (was destroyed when rods let go) no dipstick with tube or oil filter offered. MAST on the other hand does include these minor pieces essential on new build.
Holley cost without Mast offered kit pieces or oem windage tray starts at 700.90.
The Mast pan kit at $565 has cast in oil Baffle control, includes Windage Tray adds Dipstick with Tube, Oil Filter, Oil Pan Gasket, Oil Pan Bolts

I plan on running an autokraft I picked up years ago. Always had good reviews, looks like a quality product but the filter adapter looks a bit sketch to install. Anyone running one?

i have a mast pan and using the improved racing crankshaft scraper & windage tray. i had to mod the windage tray in the front to get it to fit. this is for my camaro so i have room for the tru turn setup. i also have the 302-2 holley pan with the windage tray, scraper & trap doors & baffle in my el camino. i don't want any oiling problems.

Cut a stock F body pan, not too far like S&P likes too, had my friend weld it up, leak tested for a day and there's no problems, shortened the factory windage to,

S&P the innovators of the LS swap, pan was so short, they starved many engines, wasted rods and cranks, they tried to talk me into the harness and pan mods. said no thank you!

I really should have bought the ATS pan, but I didn't want the remote filter

They DID for sure discontinue the Dry Sump Version of the LS Swap Pan they made for LS dry Sump in a first gen with there older pro touring subframe. To my dismay.
So I went back wet sump and used a Mast Motorsports stroker pan on my LS7. Fits fantastic and indo have the speed tech older pro touring subframe.
But I second the use the holley pan if you got the mounts
