The next step for adding more power to the Chevelle is swapping in this T56 "Magnum F" from Silver Sport Transmissions that was delivered today... I am not sure how soon I will install it, but it'll be ready for me when I get the 416 built.

Chevelle upgrades are starting a bit late this year, but the way the weather has been, I haven't missed anything... 🙄

The big upgrade is changing to these Viking Performance, Inc. Crusader triple-adjustable coilovers in the rear, giving me more options for spring rate, more adjustability in damping, and the ability to dial in the stance exactly where I want it.

I built my own lower mounts, as nobody offers a bolt-in or pre-fabricated mount for the Moser housing, and painted it all light silver to make it easy to spot cracks during race prep and inspections.

What did you do for the upper coil over mounts?

I used the upper brackets from a UMI kit. I bought this thinking I would be able to modify the lower brackets to work with the Moser 9", but there was too much difference in lower arm bracket design so I only used the upper brackets.

question on your watts link arms. I thought the bars needed to be as close to parallel as possible. How does it effect the left and right movement on the rear end with them both pointed down?

      edit:
I think I have it figured out. when I did my initial setup with Jim I had asked if I could flip the low one and put it up high. reason was my car sits so low to the ground. I flipped the concept and have only payed attention to how mine looked for so long, yours looked so different than mine.

      carry on!

At Goodguys Des Moines, about a month ago I broke a spindle and jammed the driver's side wheel into the fender.

The manufacturer sent me a new spindle of a revised design, and the suspension was fixed pretty easily a few weeks ago, but the fender was pushed into the door, making it unable to open and close. Last night, I finally got around to fixing that problem by making a hook that i could use to pull the fender out.

All the damage is down low, so I'll probably just touch up the paint chips, and leave it dented.

Tonight, I'll replace the bent tie-rod, and align it, then it'll be ready for the Engelhart Performance car show Saturday!
