      LS Swap Battery/Air Intake Location

Wrapping up the LS1/T56 swap in my 72 Firebird, and am pondering an issue. Originally i planned on moving the battery to the right side, but the installation of the Vintage Air Sure-fit HVAC system changed that. i have the battery and the air intake on the left side with the filter mounted over the battery and about an inch of clearance between them. I am pretty sure i won't have any issue/s with this setup but i thought i'd throw it out there just for debate/conversation. Before anyone suggests, no i have zero plans of relocating the battery to the trunk.

As long as the filter is out of the direct path of the radiator fans (if it's still a MAF setup) then you'll be just fine with it over there.
Just helped a guy with an LT1 swap in his '81 TA and put it over in that area as well as he didn't want to move anything.

Are you using a lead/acid battery? I don't think I'd want the intake exposed to the vents after you shut it down?
