      Assembling interior panels

While I'm waiting for paint I decided to try recovering the rear panels for my car after fixing the holes where aftermarket speakers used to be:

One thing I've never really asked about is how to reattach the cardboard section of the panel to the metal piece. From the factory, it's held together just like a door panel where the metal is "punched" into the carboard. I've got the pre-cut, unassembled panels. Does anyone know what upholstery shops do here?
