      Classic Auto Air Reroute

I bought a Classic Auto Air system for my 69 Camaro about 15 years ago. It was installed but never connected or ran. I'm in the middle of a rebuild of the entire car. Classic says it should be fine, but I may need a new dryer. No biggie. The problem is that the drip hose and plastic close-out panel were both melted by my headers. I worry about a repeat of this problem and or too much heat transfering to the air box behind the firewall even though I will be getting new headers.

Is there any thing I can do to reroute the hose, create a better close-out panel, or just reroute all the hoses all together. I'm so deep into the "budget" I really don't want to buy a whole new system, e.g. Vintage Air. Any advice and picture examples are greatly appreciated. TIA
