Pilot Bearing Install Question for LS Engine. How do I know if this is right?

I picked up a Silver Sport Transmission bellhousing kit to install my original Super T10 4spd behind my LS1 this past year. I'm very happy with the bellhousing they gave me but I have never seen this type of pilot bearing before. It looks like a "stepped" bearing with a rollerized center.

I've looked online and can seen there are two different varieties...
-Large diameter for the large bore in the crank.
-Small diameter for the deeper recessed bore in the crank.

I drove this into the crank last night thinking I have it right but I'm still not fully committed to thinking it's "right".

Has anyone seen this before? Any advice or confirmation of information for me?

      Jonathan,
That is normal pilot placement when using an aftermarket aluminum bellhousing on an LS engine. Since the bellhousings are nearly the same depth as the ones built for a SB/BBC and an LS crank is shorter than the SB/BBC the pilot bearing has to be installed at the end of the crank so it picks up on the input shaft correctly.

Thanks for the response Craig! I got around to getting the trans mocked up today.

Below is what I want to see, correct?
