Ideas for clutch pedal stop Gen 1 Camaro

Hi guys, does Anyone have any DIY ideas or references for a clutch pedal stop for a first Gen Camaro using stock pedal assembly?
I found a very old teetoe jones reference using 3/8 nut bolted to the firewall but it seems a little dated.
      Ideas appreciated..

"We recommend an adjustable clutch pedal stop be installed on the floor of the scar to stop the pedal from bottoming out the clutch master cylinder. This is necessary to avoid bending the shaft. A simple 3/8” coupling nut bolted or welded to the floor will allow you to adjust a bump stop or bolt and jam nut to achieve the proper pedal travel."

thanks for the link, bought installed.. so far so good will test more throurhly soon.
A note to the pics above.. i think you have it on the petal vs the arm you can install in on the arm further up closer to the pivot and it hides it completely..

I haven't installed mine yet as my car is hard up against a wall on the drivers side right now. but I did give it a 2-minute attempt from the passenger side before giving up, damn it's tight, almost feels like it needs to be pressed on. Did you have the same experience before getting it on?

I had my assembly out to powdercoat the bracket and i tried moving the stop in different locations on the arm and it would not contact the firewall and in some spots the rubber stopper hit the fuse box. And yes i have the stop as far out as it would go

I was getting ready to buy one of these and I read your post - did you get it fixed or figure out why it wouldn't reach? Guessing maybe your pedal linkage needed adjusted?

Thanks, I sent a message to him on Ebay to ask him how long, and this was his response

"On the standard model it is about 2 3/4". I do offer a longer one that is about 4 1/4". The cost on the longer stop is the same."

Measured how long mine needs to be an the 2 3/4 will be too short for sure, so I'll order the longer one and cut it if I need to.
