FS: 383 SBC Fuel Injection Ready

Great condition 383ci Small Block Chevy with modern amenities.

This motor came out of a 1970 Chevy Camaro that I purchase from a retired Airforce veteran in Orange County outside of Los Angeles. He had this motor professionally built and dyno'd at ~450HP. I removed the motor soon after purchasing the car because I had a different setup that I wanted to go with; it has been safely stored since. It is in great condition except some minor missing paint on the block; there is no rust/corrosion, it rotates freely, and runs strong. I am selling the engine because I am moving to a different state. A solid platform for a street machine, weekend racer, or truck.

      Features:

      • Late Model 1986+ SBC 4-Bolt Main w/ 1-piece rear main seal
      • Forged Rotating Assembly including H-Beam Rods
      • Moroso Deep Oil Pan
      • AFR Aluminum Heads
      • Roller Lifters and Rockers
      • High Performance Street Cam
      • Edelbrock Tunnel Ram Port Injection Manifold (port-matched to gasket and heads)
      • Edelbrock Throttle Body
      • Runs on 91 Pump Gas
      • Fuel Injectors/Rails not included.

I will consider parting it out per the following prices:

      • Short Block: $3000
      • AFR Heads: $800
      • EFI Manifold and Throttle Body: $800

Or I will sell the full package for $3800 as is.

      Payment: Cash/Paypal/Money-Order/Zelle/Venmo
Shipping: Local pickup, or buyer pays shipping

      Best regards,
      Moshe

      Which AFR heads ? 195 ? Ported ?
      Internally balanced ?
What size are the rods ?
      Are pistons forged ?

Any idea on how long motor has been together and rough mileage ?

Yes, I am almost certain they are 195cc Ported.
I don't know about the balancing and rods, sorry.
There are a few thousand miles on the motor. When I took the oil pan off, everything was clean, spun well, no questionable debris.

If they are AFR Heads, there will be a part number stamped on the front face of each head.
With the p/n you will be able to determine what they are.

From what i can see the heads are the older non eliminator AFR heads. Do you know anything about the cam size or what compression this has? Any vids of it running? Why did you pull the engine in the first place?
