      71 Lemans Recaro Install

Found a set of nice old Recaros to put in my 71 Lemans to replace the BMW Seats I had in there. I used Wedge Adapters and Sliders and fitment was perfect. I used BMW M5 Seats in the rear and almost have them fit the way I want them. I was going to replace all my interior panels with new black from Legendary but they are months out so I am going to do the headliner in Alcantara and dye the rest of my panels black for the time being. After driving it for a few days with the Recaros I can definitely say they are much better in the car than the BMW Seats. I miss some of the adjustability but I like the overall look/feel.

I know it is not everyones cup of tea but I am happy with the choice.
(Yes I know it needs a good vacuuming lol)

The headrests are out of place in an older car but everything else looks great.

      Thanks.

They're actually one of my favorite parts. The fishnets are about as Old School Recaro as you can get.

As someone who suffers constant headaches, many quite severe, thanks to being rear ended, I'm going to say safety over "correct" style is a bit more important.

Thank you. I went with Morris belts. The BMW Seats had the seat belts integrated.

Kind of a twisted pita to be honest. I am going to look for an alternative but they will do for now. The way they are suspended from the top strap I hardly ever grab the right strap to put it on. i hate having to look at it every time to grab the right strap

I ditched the BMW seats for Recaros as well. Yours look good and the fishnets are cool. No way would I ever drive a car without headrests.
I ended up with some Recaro Style Toplines that had all the power stuff (except the headrest, that was a neat feature) plus heating and "cooling" AKA a fan that does nothing. Best part is they are height adjustable and go down low, those BMW seats sat too high no matter what I did. Going to to all of this in houndstooth and black leather. Currently have some planted brackets but might switch to wedge.

Nice choice.... I went with Recaro's with the Wedge brackets in my 72 Cutlass. Rewrapped them in old school pattern. Had custom rear seat made to match the fronts.
