Broken intake bolts
Replaced the intake on my 2004 ls3 due to a crack from install. When I torqued the bolts according to specs 45lbs first round 80 lbs second round one of the first ones snapped off before even reaching 40lbs. Is this common with this motor, should I replace all the intake bolts with new? About 3/8 of an inch on the thread is now in the block. Drill it out and remove the best way?

Shouldn't that be in/lbs?
just noticed you did not say "ft" I assumed...

Well it looks like I might have pulled a bonehead move and not double checked ft/lbs vs inch/lbs on my wrench. I'll check when I get home tonight. Any insight to removing the broken stud

Not foot pounds. A buddy of mine did the same thing. He was able to tap them out with a really small pin punch.
